<p>This research aimed to find out the students’ voices toward Gamification using Quizizz in grammar classes at Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. This research used descriptive quantitative method. The data was collected through online questionnaire and presented in descriptive and numerical form. The population were the 7<sup>th</sup> semester students, namely 7D, 7E, and 7F of English Education Department at Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar and the sample were the 10 students from each class of the population. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive random sampling technique. This research findings showed that the students voices based on questionnaire’s answer toward the used of Quizizz in grammar classes. the result showed most of the students chose agreed on the positive statements and chose disagreed on the negative statements. The total highest mean score in terms of stimulation aspect was 4.47, attractiveness aspect was 4.40, perspicuity aspect was 4.27, and dependability aspect was 4.17. It means that students have a good voice toward Quizizz in grammar classes activities. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that Gamification using Quizizz in grammar classes was approved by the students in English Education Department at Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar.</p>Afifah Maghfirah MustaqimNurdevi Bte. <p>The main problem in this research was to find out two research objectives, are to find out the implementation of writing descriptive text using the Google Docs Applications, and to find out the students' perceptions of implementing Google Docs in students' descriptive text on collaborative writing in SMP 13 Makassar. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. The participant of this study was a 7th-grade level who used the Google Docs application as collaborative learning to write a descriptive text. The data in this study was collected through checklist observations and questionnaires. Based on research, this study shows how students use Google Docs to create descriptive text. Authors exchange accounts with their partners for reading and editing. The study also revealed that the study had a beneficial effect on students' answers. The final, students can afford and like to use this learning tool well. This shows that using Google Docs for group writing in the descriptive text is successful.</p>MulyaniEny Syatriana Muhammad Zia Ul Haq

<p>This study aims to determine the dominating level of substitution, augmentation, modification and redefinition (SAMR) use by the teachers in teaching English and the reasons of the English teachers use that level, namely substitution, augmentation, modification and redefinition (SAMR). This research was conducted in January 2023 from 3 English teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Sungguminasa. This research used descriptive qualitative method, and the instruments used are observation and interviews.The findings of this study indicate that of the four levels of the SAMR model, the most dominant used by English teachers is at the substitution level. And the lowest usage is redefinition. The second finding is the reason why the English teachers are at this level is due to a lack of IT-related knowledge, insufficient school facilities, and a lack of spaces that can assist teachers in improving their IT skills.</p> <p> </p>Nur IntanSt. Asriati AMHijrah

<p>The aim of this research is to find out the Effect of Smartphone on Students’ Speaking Skill. The research design was used pre-experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Pattallassang sub-district of gowa. The researcher was used total sampling technique. The researcher uses this technique because all the members of the selected had similar characteristic and the same relatively baseline knowledge based on their test examination average scores. The total number of samples was 30 students from class VII-5. The Speaking tests were administered in the pretest and posttest. The instrument was intended to measure the students’ enrichment of speaking. The test Speaking aspects in this research are: fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation, accuracy and comprehensibility. Based on the research findings and discussion in the previous chapter, the researcher concludes that the use of Smartphone enriches the students’ speaking skill; it is proved by the mean score of the students’ posttest. The t-test of the students’ speaking achievement in posttest was smaller than α (0.000 < 0.05). It meant that the H1 of the hypothesis was accepted.</p>Wandi Abi MayuSyamsiarna NappuSaiful

<p>The aims of this research was to find out the improvement of the student about reading comprehension after using Google Classroom media. This research conducted by used Quantitative method with CAR (Class Action Research). This research population consisted of eighth grade students at UPT SPF SMP Negeri 4 Makassar, with the research sample being Class VIII.8, which consisted of 30 Students, selected by purposive sampling technique. The data from this research gathered through the supply of diagnostic test, test 1 & test 2 to find out an improvement of students' reading comprehension after using Google Classroom as teaching/learning media.The result of this study was significant improvement in reading comprehension of students. This can be shown in the average value of the students of the D-test in the first cycle and the test in the second cycle. The average value of the first cycle test on the aspect of the main idea (94.33) was higher than the D-test (4.17). Then in the aspect of supporting ideas, the mean test cycle I (90.63) was higher than the D-test (26.13). The average test cycle II on aspects of the main idea (98.83) was higher than the first cycle (94.33). While the mean test cycle II in supporting aspects of the idea (93.37) was higher than the first cycle (90.63).
