The teacher is greatly helped by the existence of computer-based media because it can help explain the material displayed. Showing videos, PowerPoint, or songs can train students to acquire new or difficult vocabulary. Students can learn and improve their vocabulary by practicing and practicing it in their daily lives. the effectiveness of computer-based media can help all elements of students' soft skills, in the form of increasing vocabulary, reading, writing, and listening. The participants in this study were students of Class X IPS at SMAN 6 BONE. Purposive sampling is used by the current researcher. The results of the study reveal that, it can be said that the use of writing features in the google classroom application can be used effectively to teach the competence of class X IPS students at SMAN 6 Bone.</p> A. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The subject of this research was a teacher and students’ class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Gantarang Keke. The instruments used were observation and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the introduction patterns that emerge in the classroom are group work, individual choral responded, and collaboration. Teaching and learning conferences are not only frequent when teacher want to test their skills with quizzes, but they also have difficulty understanding the lesson, not only that they often go in and out when teacher want to test their abilities factors in Zoom meeting are supporting factor. That is, to support a face-to-face online learning process, albeit virtual, and inhibiting factor for the zoom meeting is internet quotas as most students complain about internet quota, internet network and time strains limited. This research used quantitative research with a pre-experimental approach. The researcher gave pre-test to students, and then the researcher gave the students’ treatment using Wattpad Application. After treatment is given, researcher gives the students’ post-test. The population in this study were students of the class X SMA Negeri 9 Makassar. The sample of this research was the students of the class X.7, included 29 students. The sample was taken by Purposive Sampling. The result showed that the t-test value was higher than the t-table value. The t-test value of reading comprehension in terms of Literal Comprehension was higher than the t-table (14.75&gt;2.04841), and the t-test value in terms of Interpretative comprehension was higher than the t-table (15.17&gt;2.04841). The t-test of the indicators in the students' Reading Comprehension skills t-test produced a result that was higher than the t-table (29.92&gt;2.04841). It was concluded that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. It means that using the Wattpad application was effective to improve students’ reading comprehension.</p> Nurul Amalia Rizal Nunung Anugrawati Wildhan Burhanuddin Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Computer Interaction in Education https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2023-12-28 2023-12-28 6 2 93 103 10.56983/jcie.v6i2.562 THE USE OF ENGLISH SONG BY USING JOOX APPLICATION IN TEACHING ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION AT SMAN 7 MAKASSAR https://jurnal.fkip.unismuh.ac.id/index.php/jcie/article/view/567 <p>This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using English songs using the Joox application in learning pronunciation at SMAN 7 Makassar. The research method used in this study was pre-experimental with the data analysis process using a quantitative design. The population of this study were all students of class XI MIPA. And the sample in this study were students of class XI MIPA 3, totaling 36 students. The instrument used is a test of speaking skills in pronunciation terms through a pre-test and post-test. This research was conducted for 6 meetings. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the use of the Joox application was effective in improving students' pronunciation at SMAN 7 Makassar. The results of the pre-test pronunciation were 39.44 and the results of the post-test pronunciation were 62.08. The results showed an increase in pronunciation of 57.40%. In addition, the value of the t-test is higher than the value of the pronunciation t-table (14.963 &gt; 1.690) which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.
