Optimizing Discord Application to The students’ Vocabulary Enhancement In Synchronous Learning

This research focused in optimizing the Discord application to enhance students' vocabulary in synchronous learning. The method used in this research was pre-experimental research method with one group pre-test and post-test design, and the data were collected by giving pre-test and post-test. The sample of this research was class VII A of SMP Negeri 5 Mandai. The sample consisted with 27 students. The population of this research was the first-grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Mandai which consisted of 297 students in the academic year of 2021/2022. The sample was taken by purposive sampling technique to select the sample. The technique used for obtaining data was vocabulary test. The research findings showed that the mean score of the students in vocabulary was proved by post-test 72,77 was higher than the mean score of pre-tests 64,07. Furthermore, by the result of the hypothesis t-test value was 11,126 which mean higher than t-table 2,056. It means that H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. Based on the findings that there was significance difference between the result of pre-test and post-test. Eventually, optimizing Discord application to the students’ vocabulary enhancement in synchronous learning was excellent to applied to the further research.

The Use of Text To Speech Software To Improve Students Listening Skill at 3rd Grade SMPN 21 MAKASSAR

The objective of this research is to find out whether the use of text-to-speech software improves students listening skills.The researcher used Pre-Experimental design in the form of One Group Pre-test - Post-test design. There are two variables in this study. The first variable is a dependent variable and the second variable is an independent variable. Dependent variables are listening, meanwhile, the independent variable is Text-to-speech software. The population in this study is the students of SMPN 21 Makassar and the sample of this study is the 3^rd-grade students where the class consists of 18 students. The instruments that the researcher used in this study are tests.The results of the research is The used Text to Speech Software were able to improve the students’ listening skill at the second at the 3rd GRADE SMPN 21 MAKASSAR. Based on the result of the reseaarch. The mean score of Pre-Test is 62,16 and the Post-Test mean score is 69,44. Based on the difference from the mean score students get in lestening skill show the improvement from pre-test to post-test where the increase of students increased by 12%. The improvement of students’ achievement significantly.

The Undergraduate Learners' Perspective on Listening Comprehension of Audio-Lingual Transcript Method at The Fourth Semester Student’s University of Muhammadiyah Makassar

This study aims to determineTo find out the perspective of fourth semester students at Muhammadiyah Makassar University in listening to audio-lingual transcripts.The method that will be used by the researcher is a qualitative descriptive approach because This study wants to describe the perspectives of fourth semester students at the University of Muhammadiyah Makassar.The subjects of this research are fourth semester students who have participated in learning English listening comprehension using the audio lingual method as many as 21 students in class 4A. However, the researcher only took a sample of 15 students to be studied at the Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. Samples were taken using a questionnaire with Google forms. The results showed thatFrom the results of research that has been carried out with a questionnaire totaling fifteen statements, it is known that the majority of respondents choose the category of agree or good in learning English using the audio-lingual transcription listening method or it can be said that the fourth semester students of the English Education Study Program prefer the method of learning English. listening audio-lingual transcripts in the learning process at the University of Muhammadiyah Makassar.

The Student's Perception and Motivation of Using Infographicd for Learning English

This research has objectives to know the Students' Perception and Motivation in Using Infographics for Learning English . This research generally answers two questions as: (1) What are students‟perception in using infographics for learning english? and (2) How are students‟ motivation in using infographics for learning english.This study shows that students' perception and motivation in using infographics are high, as seen by each statement concerning the students' questionnaire responses.Based on the findings of the study, it can be concluded that students' responses and comprehension of infographics are high, and that their motivation to learn English is also high

The difficulties of Online Speaking Classroom at the Second Grade Students of SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo During Covid-19 Pandemic

This research aimed to find out the difficulties of online speaking classroom especially in speaking fluency at the Second Grade Students of SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo during Covid-19 Pandemic.The research used Descriptive Qualitative Method. Data of the research were collected through observation and questionnaire (open-ended questionnaire). The sample of this research was the Second Grade Students of SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo which amounted to 15 students who meet the criteria was chosen by purposively.Based on the research findings, the researcher found that 7 (46.67%) students had difficulty speaking online especially during the Covid-19 pandemic due to lack of confidence, 6 (40.00%) students were difficult in online learning process because of diddn't understand the material taught by the teacher and afraid of making mistakes. However, it can be overcome by extend the hours of studied beyond the school day. Therefore based on these results, it is recommended to use Online Speaking at speaking classrom, especially in speaking fluency to create a learning space that is flexible and can be done anywere.
