This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using instructional aids based on the surrounding environment in enhancing the creativity of sixth-grade students. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method involving 24 students as participants, with data collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire assessing four creativity indicators: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Data analysis included validity testing, reliability testing, frequency distribution analysis, and a One Sample T-Test using SPSS. software. The results indicate that all aspects of creativity exceeded the standard value (μ₀ = 75) with significant t-values, and that 20 students were classified in the “very satisfactory” category while 4 students were in the “satisfactory” category. Therefore, the use of instructional aids based on the surrounding environment is considered effective in enhancing students' creativity. These findings lead to a recommendation for teachers to optimize the use of environment-based instructional aids as a pedagogical strategy capable of enriching learning experiences, increasing student participation, and strengthening students' creative thinking skills in a sustainable manner.

Andi Muafiah Nur Mu'mina Kamelia Marsanda Muslim Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (JKIP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2025-06-28 2025-06-28 12 1 1 14 10.56983/jkip.v12i1.1964 EFFECTIVENESS OF USING GAMIFICATION-BASED WORDWALLS TO IMPROVE UNDERSTANDING OF FOOD CHAIN CONCEPTS IN SCIENCE LEARNING https://jurnal.fkip.unismuh.ac.id/index.php/jkip/article/view/1965
The use of technology-based learning media is increasingly needed to improve the quality of science learning in elementary schools, especially to help students understand abstract concepts such as the food chain. Initial observations indicate that fifth-grade students still have difficulty identifying the role of organisms, understanding energy flow, and are less active during conventional learning. This condition emphasizes the need for more interactive and engaging media to encourage student engagement. Gamification-based wordwalls are an effective alternative because they present educational games that provide direct feedback and help visualize concepts. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of gamification wordwalls in improving understanding of the food chain concept in fifth-grade students of UPT SD Negeri 74 Bontorita II. The method used was an experiment with a One-Group Pretest–Posttest design involving 20 students. The instruments used included a pretest–posttest, observation of student activities, and learning documentation. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, and a paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant increase from the average pretest score of 51.57 to 89.86 in the posttest. A significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) proves that Wordwall effectively improves understanding of the food chain concept. This finding confirms that gamification can increase motivation, engagement, and provide a more meaningful learning experience. The study recommends Wordwall as an alternative medium for science learning that requires visualization and interaction.

Nur Fitriany A. This condition weakens students’ critical and creative thinking skills. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a collaborative group mentoring strategy for eighth-grade students through a two-cycle Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. Data were collected through observations and interviews, then analyzed descriptively. The findings show that the collaborative group mentoring strategy improves students’ conceptual understanding, participation, and critical and creative thinking skills. The collaborative learning environment also enhances student motivation. Thus, this strategy is effective for improving mathematical problem-solving skills in accordance with the 2013 Curriculum.
Nedya Salaputa Nurul Azizah Ma’rup Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (JKIP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2025-06-28 2025-06-28 12 1 24 30 10.56983/jkip.v12i1.1972 MISCONCEPTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF CONCEPTUAL REASONING OF PROSPECTIVE TEACHER STUDENTS TOWARDS THE NON-COMMUTATIVE PROPERTY OF COMPOSITION FUNCTIONS THROUGH PEER TEACHING-BASED DISCOVERY LEARNING https://jurnal.fkip.unismuh.ac.id/index.php/jkip/article/view/1974
Conceptual understanding of function composition, particularly its non commutative property, is a challenge for prospective mathematics teachers. This difficulty is often indicated by the emergence of miscoceptions stemming from inappropriate generalizations of arithmetic operations of intuitive judgments of results without a clear relational basis. This study aims to describe the initial misconceptions and the development of prospective teachers' conceptual reasoning regarding the non commutative property of function composition through the implementation of contextualized discovery learning within a peer teaching framework. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive-exploratory design. The research participants were graduate students enrolled in a masters program in mathematics education who were directly involved in peer teaching activities. Data were collected through video recordings of instructional practices, student worksheets, prediction sticky notes, and field notes. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative procedures involving data reduction, thematic coding, and interpretative analysis. The findings indicate that, at the initial stage, students tended to exhibit misconceptions based on cross concept analogies and intuitive reasoning that had not yet developed into conceptual understanding. Through presentation and discussion activities in the discovery learning process, students demonstrated a shift in reasoning from a focus on final results toward relational understanding related to the order of function mappings. These findings suggest that discovery learning supported by peer teaching facilitates cognitive conflict and meaning negotiation, thus contributing to the development of prospective mathematics teachers conceptual understanding of the non commutative property of function composition.
Miftahul Jannah Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (JKIP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2025-06-28 2025-06-28 12 1 31 35 10.56983/jkip.v12i1.1974 THE USE OF POWER POINT MEDIA ON STUDENT LEARNING MOTIVATION OF GRADE XI AT STATE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 8 SELAYAR https://jurnal.fkip.unismuh.ac.id/index.php/jkip/article/view/1975
The study of the Effect of PowerPoint Media Use on Student Learning Motivation in Natural Science Subjects (IPA) for Grade XI at SMA Negeri 8 Selayar aims to determine the effect of PowerPoint media use on student learning motivation. This study uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The population in this study were all 36 grade XI students of SMA Negeri 8 Selayar, who were also used as research samples. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the use of PowerPoint media has a significant influence on student learning motivation in science subjects, as indicated by the results of the Pearson correlation test with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that PowerPoint media plays an important role in increasing student learning motivation, so it is worthy of continued use in the science learning process..
Ani Kasman Akram Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (JKIP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 2025-06-28 2025-06-28 12 1 36 46 10.56983/jkip.v12i1.1975
