With a better understanding, students are expected to be able to apply this knowledge in the world of work, both in the government sector and in other fields related to public policy. More than just academic interests, this study also emphasizes the role of students as agents of change who can contribute to overseeing transparency and accountability in regional budget management. Students are expected to be critical supervisors of budget policies and play an active role in educating the public about the importance of good regional financial governance. The research was carried out through a series of trainings that included presentations of materials using PowerPoint by speakers, interactive discussions, group budget analysis practices, and evaluation sessions to measure students’ understanding after participating in the training. The results of the study showed that most students still had limitations in understanding various aspects of the regional budget, including the budget cycle, sources of regional income and expenditure, and the concept of planning and budgeting. Students also had difficulty in systematically compiling the regional budget cycle from January to December.
