KOMUNITAS SABUNG AYAM (STUDI PERILAKU MENYIMPANG MASYARAKAT MALAKAJI KABUPATEN GOWA)

Abstrak

Cockfighting at the beginning of its appearance is a sacred tradition that is fundamental to people's lives Malikaji Gowa district. Along with the development of science and technology, cockfighting shifting function and meaning before, cockfighting in practice is no longer a tool to perform customs and traditions, cockfighting now it is no longer limited and unlimited, almost all people had free access. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach and determination of the informants was done by using purposive sampling. Category informants were used that key informants, experts and ordinary, with varying professions such as Employers, Employees, Self Employed, Plumbers, driver and farmer. Criteria used as informants’ actors are doing cockfighting for 3 years. The results showed that, (i) cockfighting (Assaung) is now a deviant behavior as opposed to cultural values, religion, and law. (ii) Cockfighting is a deviant behavior has implications for shift function and meaning. (iii) The function and meaning of cockfighting as the object is interpreted by community based social roles. (iv) The functioning of the active elements of society as a social control in deconstructing the meaning of cockfighting from deviant behavior into the behavior komformitas to create public order Malikaji Gowa district.
