Abstrak

Abad 21 merupakan era revolusi industri 4.0 yang populasinya hampir semua mengenal yang namanya media sosial bahkan sudah menjadi  gaya hidup masyarakat modern. Penggunaan media sosial juga sudah tidak asing lagi pemanfaatannya di dunia pendidikan sebagai media interaktif yang memudahkan penyampaian materi pembelajaran dan media yang sangat kekinian. Salah satu contoh media sosial yang paling papuler di kalangan remaja Indonesia adalah Instagram. Oleh karena itu, peneliti melalui metode studi kasus, mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan Instagram untuk meningkatkan ketertarikan siswa belajar vocabulary bahasa Inggris. Objek penelitian ini  adalah siswa SMA Negeri 20 Pangkep dengan jumlah 32 orang dari berbagai latar belakang permasalahan. Setelah peneliti melakukan observasi dan tes, hasilnya menunjukkan Instagram telah berhasil meningkatkan ketertarikan siswa belajar vocabulary Bahasa Inggris dengan bantuan media Instagram sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas.
