About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Journal of Applied Linguistics Studies (JALS) publishes academic articles that recognize successful engaged learning depends on effective partnerships between students, faculty, community agencies, administrators, disciplines, and more. The journal invites submission of 1) Research that emanates from or informs campus-community partnerships; 2) Studies co-authored by faculty, students, and/or community partners; 3) Literature and Teaching English as Foreign Language; and 4) Commentary on emerging trends, developments, and/or challenges. The publication of this journal aims to spread conceptual thinking or ideas and the research findings obtained in the field of English Education and Literature.

Peer Review Process

  1. The reviewers must objectively evaluate the manuscripts based only on their originality, significance, and relevance to the domains of the journal;
  2. The reviewers must in due time supply clear, objective and relevant comments and recommendations meant to improve the content of the submitted manuscript;
  3. The reviewers must at all times respect the confidentiality of any information pertaining to the submitted manuscripts;
  4. Reviewers should not review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.

Publication Frequency

This journal is published 3 (three) times per year. It is in May, August, November

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
