Abstrak

This research is a class act aimed to improve the learning process so as to increase learning outcomes of students majoring in mathematics education FKIP Unismuh using guided discovery cooperative settings in the course of trigonometry. Subjects were students of the Department of Mathematics Education FKIP Unismuh Makassar namely semseter 1 class B. The research was conducted by two cycles where each cycle through the four stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The instrument used is the observation sheet student activities, achievement test, and the student questionnaire responses. Results of the first cycle studies show that many students who achieve the standard set value is 17 people or 53.13% with an average of 61.38. In the second cycle the number of students who achieve the standard value is 28 or 87.5% with an average 76.34. Student activity observation results indicate a change in the attitude of students, among others, students are more active in the learning process. Courage student asked the subject matter is not yet understood and answered questions of teachers and students have increased confidence do the problems on the board. This suggests that the learning outcomes of students has increased during the learning process guided discovery method cooperative setting.
